Learning a few shortcuts pays off quickly. These are the ones I use constantly:
- Ctrl+P (or Cmd+P): jump to any file by name.
- Ctrl+Shift+F: search across the whole project.
- Alt+Up/Down: move the current line.
- Ctrl+`: toggle the integrated terminal.
- Ctrl+R in a shell: search your command history.
Pick two or three per week and practice them until they feel automatic.
